Murido is built for something private. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why, and what we never do.
What we collect
Conversations with your companion. Messages you send are transmitted to our server and to Anthropic, which provides the AI model, so a reply can be generated. They may be stored against your anonymous account so your conversation persists between sessions.
Onboarding answers. Optional details you choose to share, such as a first name or what brought you to Murido.
An anonymous account identifier. Created automatically. It is not tied to your name, email, or phone number.
Usage analytics. Which screens are opened and which features are used, via PostHog. This never includes the content of your messages or your Memory Board.
What stays on your device
Your Memory Board — everything you write about the person you lost — is stored locally on your device and is not uploaded to our servers.
What we never do
We do not sell your data.
We do not share your conversations with advertisers or data brokers.
We do not require an account, an email address, or a phone number.
Data shared with our AI provider is not used to train their models.
Service providers
We use Anthropic (AI responses), Google Firebase (anonymous authentication and storage), Render (our API server), and PostHog (analytics). Each receives only what it needs to do its job.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access rules restrict every account to its own data. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not claim otherwise.
Your choices
Deleting the app removes everything stored locally, including your Memory Board. To request deletion of server-side data, email support@murido.app.
Children
Murido is not intended for anyone under 17.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will update the date above and note it in the app.
